Terms of Service
Last updated: August 17, 2026
These terms cover your use of the Been There Cleaned That website and services. By booking a cleaning, you agree to them.
About us
Been There Cleaned That is a sole proprietorship serving Austin, Round Rock, and Georgetown, Texas. References to "we," "us," and "our" in these terms mean that sole proprietorship.
Booking & confirmation
Booking is scheduled online through Square Appointments, where you choose the day and time that works for you. Prices shown on this site are estimates; your final price is confirmed based on the number of bins and the condition of the bin at the time of service. You'll receive a confirmation for your appointment once it's scheduled.
Preparing your bin
Bins are cleaned after they've been emptied on your collection day. Please have your bins out, empty, and ready when we arrive.
- Bins must be empty and ready for cleaning at the time of service.
- Bins must be accessible — not locked behind a gate, fence, or otherwise blocked.
- If a bin contains loose trash, a $35 charge applies.
- If a bin contains bagged trash, a charge of $2.50 per bag applies.
Keeping bins empty and accessible on service day avoids any additional charges.
Rescheduling & cancellations
- Give us at least 12 hours' notice to change or cancel — reach us by call, text, or email.
- No fee to cancel or reschedule with notice.
- No-shows or same-day changes without notice move to the back of the line.
- Three back-to-back cancellations end the service.
- Recurring plans run monthly and can't be paused or skipped.
Weather
- We clean in cold weather as normal.
- We only reschedule for freezing temperatures or active storms with rain.
- If we reschedule, we'll reach you by call or text and move you to the next available slot.
- No charge for a weather reschedule.
Payment
Payment is due once the cleaning is complete. We accept:
- Square — card payments, processed securely; you'll receive a receipt by email.
- Zelle
- Cash App
Any additional charges described in these terms — such as loose or bagged trash fees — are added to the total for that service.
Condition of bins
We clean bins; we do not repair or replace them. Bins in service accumulate wear over time, and some conditions cannot be removed by cleaning. These include, but are not limited to:
- Permanent staining, discoloration, or fading of the plastic.
- Scratches, gouges, cracks, warping, or heat damage.
- Damaged or missing lids, wheels, axles, hinges, or latches.
- Odors that have absorbed into the plastic itself.
Bins that are already cracked, brittle, sun-damaged, or otherwise compromised may not withstand cleaning. If we identify a bin in this condition, we may decline to service it and will let you know. Where practical, we note pre-existing damage before cleaning.
Bins are the property of the customer or the municipality that issued them. You are responsible for confirming that your waste provider permits third-party cleaning of its bins.
Limitation of liability
We carry out every cleaning with reasonable care. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service that gave rise to the claim.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost income, or loss of use.
- We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, normal wear, or any of the conditions described under "Condition of bins" above.
- We are not responsible for damage to property that was not disclosed or was not reasonably visible at the time of service, including irrigation lines, sprinkler heads, landscaping, or utilities located in the service area.
- We are not responsible for delays or missed appointments caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including weather, road conditions, equipment failure, illness, or changes to your municipal collection schedule.
- Bins are cleaned to reduce visible residue and odor. We do not guarantee sterilization or the elimination of all bacteria, pests, or odors.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Claims
If you believe a bin was damaged during service, contact us within 72 hours of the cleaning so we can review it. Claims reported after that window may not be able to be verified and may not be accepted.
Right to refuse service
We may decline or discontinue service — including for bins that are inaccessible, unsafe to handle, contain hazardous or biohazardous material, or are in a condition unsuitable for cleaning — and for accounts with repeated missed appointments as described above.
